- This is an extremely large region of varied geography, including high passes and mountains, vast deserts and grassy steppes
- The world's northernmost desert is in Mongolia
- A majority of the people earn a living by herding livestock
- Islam is the most common religion, although Buddhism has been prominent as well
- Uzbekistan has a population of more than 27 million
Past Projects in Central Asia
In 2007, funding was given to provide a university-level history course that included discussions of religion and Christianity. This course, provided by a leading university, led some students to become believers and also led them to develop a core team that formed a home church. Please pray for the growth of this church.
